A West Bromwich-based transport firm has scooped an award win and a new trailer in recognition of its contribution to the logistics industry. 

Sheldon Clayton Logistics was named ‘Shareholder Member of the Year’ at the annual Pallet-Track Shareholder Gala, held at The Belfry Hotel in Sutton Coldfield with the award presented by Stuart Godman, Group CEO and Peter Eason, Managing Director of ELB Partners who was last year’s winner.  

Sheldon Clayton was also presented with a dual-branded trailer from Pallet-Track as part of its award win.  

The awards celebrate the firm’s contribution to the national network, which enables independent logistics companies to work together to transport palletised freight efficiently around the UK. 

Sheldon Clayton has been a Shareholder Member of Pallet-Track since 2010 and was founded in 1976. It now employs a team of 200 across sites in the West Midlands and Scotland.  

Fitting tribute

Managing Director Scott Campbell said: “It was great to have our hard work recognised by not only Pallet-Track, but also our fellow network Shareholder Members.

“This award is a fitting tribute to the legacy of our founder, David Sheldon, who built the business from scratch but sadly passed away last year, aged 80.  

“He would have been proud of this win, as are we, which celebrates the hard work of our entire team. We’re looking forward to building on this for many years ahead and getting our new trailer on the road!”
