Palletforce Members Hit £100K In Support Of Midlands Air Ambulance

Palletforce, a UK leader in express palletised freight distribution, has recently donated £12,500 to Midlands Air Ambulance to support its vital life-saving work – bringing the network’s total donations to the charity to more than £100,000 over the last 14 years.

The money is part of Palletforce’s commitment to engaging in long-term support for charities and organisations which support people across its communities.

Palletforce representatives visited the air ambulance HQ in Telford to personally deliver the cheque and take a tour of the facility.

The charity needs £16 million a year to run its three air ambulances and critical care cars. It does not receive Government or National Lottery funding so relies entirely on donations and fundraising events.

Palletforce has supported Midlands Air Ambulance for 14 years and is one of its chosen charities for 2025. The £12,500 was raised at Palletforce’s MGM, where representatives of over 100 members of Palletforce’s nationwide express distribution network come together for an annual event to share expertise and best practice.

Since beginning its support of the charity in 2011, Palletforce has raised £108,688 for Midlands Air Ambulance.

Mark Tapper, Palletforce CEO, said: “Our Palletforce team saw firsthand the efforts that go into running this absolutely vital, lifesaving service. We have been supporting them for 14 years now and are very proud to continue to do so.

“The highly trained pilots, medical teams, doctors and support staff are a real inspiration. Their dedication is extraordinary and their desire to help people and save lives is second to none. As a business that is a significant user of the UK road network, it’s reassuring to know the support of the Midlands Air Ambulance is always there.

“Our charity and community donations are a big part of what we do at Palletforce and Midlands Air Ambulance is an extremely worthy recipient.”

Air ambulance crews can attend any incident in their area within 10 minutes and since 1991 have carried out 76,000 missions and now operate on a 24/7 basis.

Emma Wood, head of fundraising and engagement for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, commented: “Every penny we receive is vital for our work saving lives across the Midlands. Palletforce is a long-term supporter of ours and we are delighted and very grateful that they have once again to donated much-needed funds to go towards our operating costs.

“It was a pleasure to meet their team and show them just what goes into ensuring we are there for people whenever they need us.”
