Pallet-Track appoints Lee Solway as member network director

Award-winning UK pallet network Pallet-Track has appointed Lee Solway to its board as it looks to increase the voice of its network shareholder members in the boardroom.

Lee, a founder and director of Harrison Solway in Hull, has been appointed to the role of member network director and will represent the interests of our network’s 90-plus shareholder members.

Lee will sit alongside Mark Waite, a founder and director at Inter-Haul Pallet Services, who has been member network director for Pallet-Track for the last 10 years.

He will work closely with the business’ operational board – CEO Stuart Godman, CFO Tom Feeney, CTO Thomas Olsson, and operations director Gary Oliver.

Harrison Solway is a founding shareholder member of Pallet-Track since its formation in 2004.

Lead by example

Lee said: “I was immensely proud and humbled to be asked to take on this role. It’s a proud moment, but the hard work starts now.

“Mark and I represent our 90-plus shareholder members at board level, and this role is all about having a voice in the network.

“I’m very passionate about Pallet-Track, both as a business and individually, so I’m delighted to be taking on this responsibility.

“I like to lead by example from a service perspective and I pride myself on being an approachable guy – it’s nice to be nice!”

Lee singled out Pallet-Track CEO Stuart Godman for praise in his role in the appointment.

He said: “Stuart is fundamental in the direction we are going as a business. He’s exceptionally driven and enthusiastic about the team around him, with a firm focus on maintaining Pallet-Track as the number one UK network.”

Stuart Godman said: “Lee, and the superb team at Harrison Solway, set themselves the highest possible service standards every day, so this new role is very much a natural fit for him.

“He reflects the drive and ambition of all of us here at Pallet-Track and I very much look forward to working with him as we continue our growth journey. He has already made a fantastic difference to the future direction of the business.”

The Pallet-Track network is made up of over 90 independent logistics companies, who work collectively to collect and deliver over 4m pallets each year throughout the UK.
