National award for Hull haulier Harrison Solway

Independent Hull haulier Harrison Solway has been recognised with a national award for its outstanding service throughout 2024, where it didn’t miss a single delivery.

The company picked up the ‘Network Service Quality Award’ at Pallet-Track’s annual Shareholder Member Gala, held at Celtic Manor Resort in Newport.

The awards celebrate the firm’s contribution to our network, which enables independent logistics and hauliers’ companies to work together to transport freight efficiently around the UK.

Harrison Solway, a founding shareholder member of Pallet-Track, was recognised for delivering exceptional service upheld by the highest quality standards.

The firm achieved a remarkable milestone to secure the award, hitting 100 per cent of deliveries on time, in full and with a full electronic signature during 2024.

However, Harrison Solway is no stranger to success for its commitment to service – it holds the title of Pallet-Track’s longest continual platinum service depot, eight years.

To achieve this award, members must have achieved over 99 per cent delivery service for the network.

Immensely proud

Lee Solway, director of Harrison Solway, said: “We are immensely proud recipients of this award. We have a wonderful team here tasked with perfection, and while that is never easy to deliver, they have achieved it.

“That’s despite dealing with the challenges posed by the UK road network, which the haulage and logistics sector faces on daily basis.

“To deliver 100 per cent of our freight with full electronic data capture (EDC) is unheard of. It’s testament to the hard work and skill of our entire team.”

Harrison Solway, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this summer, has a staff of up to 90 depending on seasonal peaks and operates from a 10,000-pallet warehouse on the Kingston International Business Park.

It also holds BRCGS and Soil Association accreditation, recognising its commitment to the safe storage and transit of food and organic goods, as well as customs bonded warehouse status.

Customer service fanantics

Stuart Godman, CEO of Pallet-Track, said: “Harrison Solway has demonstrated outstanding excellence in our network for many years and it’s no surprise they have picked up this award – their record speaks for itself.

“They are an incredible business, fanatical about customer service and we couldn’t be prouder to have them as one of our founding shareholder members.

“Everyone at Pallet-Track sends their congratulations to Lee and his dedicated team for this richly deserved accolade.”
