Kilmarnock Logistics Company Joins Palletways Network

Prime Parcel Services (PPS) in Kilmarnock is one of the latest transport companies to join Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network and part of Imperial Logistics (Imperial).

From its base at 11 Simonsburn Road, Kilmarnock, PPS employs more than ten people and operates a fleet of nine vehicles. The company offers a range of freight services including parcel, pallets, same-day and international deliveries, and will cover selected Ayrshire postcodes.

Andrew Muir, Managing Director at PPS, said: “Joining the Palletways network is a huge part of our strategy to offer a comprehensive logistics solution and one which will build our business in the pallet sector. It will enable us to ship all types of general freight throughout the UK and Europe – we wouldn’t be able to provide this suite of services without being part of Europe’s largest pallet network.

“I’m confident we can bring a fresh approach to pallet deliveries – we have access to experienced class 1 and 2 drivers and a management team who come from the parcel delivery game which is high volume and non-stop.  We are used to making sure every shipment is handled with care and gets to where it needs to go, even if it means going the extra mile.  We aim to set the standard in everything we do.  Joining Palletways is no different.

“Becoming part of the Palletways network will help us to continue to provide a comprehensive solution for our pallet orders, complement and improve the service we provide to our customers and give network confidence in a rural area. Importantly, through the network, we can grow our business and I’m looking forward to seizing every opportunity that comes our way.”

Warwick Trimble, Network Director for Palletways UK, added: “I’m pleased to welcome PPS to our ever-growing network. They bring with a wealth of industry knowledge and we look forward to drawing on their expertise to enhance our services in Kilmarnock.”

Launched in 2020, PPS is one of over 120 independent transport providers that are part of the Palletways UK network. They benefit from shared expertise and resources from within the group to deliver consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively than ever before. The Palletways Group, renowned for its industry-leading IT developments and operational systems, comprises 450+ depots and 20 hub operations, through which it provides collection and distribution services across 24 European countries, including the UK.
