A Wakefield haulier is in top gear after receiving a national award for its ongoing growth and success.

A. Davies Transport Ltd collected the ‘Outstanding Growth Award’ at the annual Pallet-Track Shareholder Gala, held at The Belfry Hotel in Sutton Coldfield and the award was presented by Chief Financial Officer, Tom Feeney and David Stroh, Sales Business Development Manager, Sapphire Curtains,  part of the Don-Bur Group.  

The family-run company was established with one truck in 2007 and now operates a fleet of 40 vehicles and 60 trailers, and a team of 55 staff, from a 25,000 sq. ft facility. 

The award, sponsored by trailer supply company Sapphire Curtains, comes following a period of rapid growth for A. Davies Transport. 

It joined Pallet-Track in 2023 with the aim of increasing its palletised freight distribution service and has created several new jobs because of the partnership. 

Pallet-Track is a national network enabling logistics companies to work together to transport palletised freight efficiently around the UK. 

A. Davies Transport works with a wide range of customers across South and West Yorkshire, including those in the food and drink, retail, construction, and printing sectors.
