Oldham haulier celebrates award win after decade of growth
An independent Oldham haulier is celebrating after being recognised for its high levels of customer service following a decade of record growth which saw its operations double in size.
Chadderton-based H&B Logistics was founded in 1989 by Nick Hall and Alan Byrne, who started the business as a local parcel courier.
The company moved into palletised delivery in 2000, joining Pallet-Track in 2016.
In the past decade, H&B – which operates across the Manchester area for our pallet network – has celebrated significant growth. Its fleet of vehicles has increased from 10 to 22 trucks, it delivers around 250 pallets a day and inputs around 550 pallets per night – double the volume it was handling in 2015.
Throughout this growth, H&B has maintained its high service levels, and its team are celebrating after recently receiving the Pallet-Track ‘Shareholder Voted Service Quality Award’ at its annual Shareholder Gala.
A reputation for pallet delivery excellence
Darren Platt, managing director of H&B Logistics, said: “We pride ourselves on the high levels of service which we provide, and it’s a huge compliment to be recognised for that by our peers.
“Our business has grown significantly over the past decade, and we are proud that we have maintained the high quality of the service we provide throughout that expansion.”
H&B Logistics has long held a reputation for excellence within the Pallet-Track network, having been rated as a platinum-level service depot by the network every year since it joined. To achieve this standard, a haulier must achieve 99 per cent or above delivery service for the network.
Darren said: “Since we’ve been part of Pallet-Track our delivery revenue has almost doubled, and our aim is to continue expanding. As Pallet-Track has grown as a network, we’ve grown along with it.
“Feedback from customers on the network is that they find it very user friendly, especially now that they receive a timed delivery window in advance and photos of the consignment upon delivery.”
Stuart Godman, CEO of Pallet-Track, said: “H&B Logistics has maintained a reputation for service excellence since joining the network, holding up top levels of service year after year, so this award is truly deserved.
“The whole Pallet-Track team send our congratulations to Darren, Nick and Alan, for this remarkable achievement and we look forward many more years of mutual success.”
