Trans UK joins Fortec Distribution Network
London-based haulage company Trans UK is the latest business to join the Pall-Ex Group owned network Fortec Distribution
Trans UK has established itself as a reputable haulage firm within central London since it started operations in late 2019.
Joining as a shareholder member in both the Pall-Ex and Fortec pallet distribution networks means Trans UK can add local, national and international pallet delivery to its existing services. These include same-day delivery, storage and overnight parcel delivery.
Paul Wilson, Sales Director at Trans UK, explains why the business took the decision to join both networks, commenting:
“We decided to join Pall-Ex Group because of the brilliant reputation they have built across the UK for offering a quality service, something that is very important to us. The shareholder model is perfect for us as it rewards and reflects the efforts each shareholder puts into making the network the first choice for pallet delivery.”
Trans UK now has access to a strong network of over 160 independent hauliers, operating across the UK to deliver excellent service to their customers.
The business will deliver to a number of SE and E postcodes within central London, providing other network members with access to areas that have proved to be challenging to reach.
It’s central location also means Trans UK has reduced transit times for getting into London, which positively impacts its carbon footprint.
With their 60 years’ experience in the logistics industry, the senior management team are well-equipped to provide the best service to both their own customers and the customers of fellow shareholders.
Craig Chapman, Head of Network – South for both Pall-Ex and Fortec discusses the value Trans UK will add to the network, he comments:
“As existing members of a parcel network, Trans UK were looking to diversify and take on a pallet distribution operation, which exactly mirrored our requirements. Contact was initially made in late 2021, since then it has been a pleasure working with Richard, Ian and Paul in getting the agreement finalised.
“With many years of industry experience combined between the three Directors, we are delighted to secure such a prestigious business into our network who will add strength and presence to the South East London region. Focussed on service and being commercially astute, we believe that Trans UK together with the two Pall-Ex Group networks have a very bright future ahead. We cannot wait to support Trans UK as they become a true force within London in the sector.
“Strategically located in Peckham SE15 and operating from an effective site, they are in a prime position to offer a quality service to a notoriously challenging part of the capital.
“I would like to welcome Richard, Ian, Paul and the rest of the team at Trans UK to the Pall-Ex Group family and wish them the absolute best for the future. I very much look forward to working closely with them.”
Barry Byers, Managing Director – UK Business Units, comments:
“In a short period of time, Trans UK have established themselves as a reliable haulier and demonstrated their ambition to provide a quality service to their customers.
“It’s great to have them on board to support the deployment of the London Project, which has re-engineered our membership and commercial arrangements to deliver service excellence across our capital city.”
